Video footage shows moment mysterious ‘Audi R8 shaped’ object ‘bounces’ through sky

A mysterious ‘Audi R8 shaped object’ has been captured flying through the sky – and nobody knows what it is.

The bright white sphere of light was spotted by Matthew Norbury in North Wales last weekend, with the garage owner admitting he had never seen anything like it before.

Video footage shows the object hurtling through the atmosphere above Colwyn Heights before making a sudden change in direction, North Wales Live reports.

Mr Norbury, who said the object looked like an Audi R8, described how it “bounced” across the sky.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything that looks like an Audi R8 flying through the sky,” he admitted.

It’s thought the light could be a fireball meteor but Mr Norbury can’t explain it’s sudden “bounce” and then apparent change of direction.

Sightings of fireball meteors are reportedly rare, even though several thousand of fireball magnitude occur in the Earth’s atmosphere every day, according to the International Meteor Organisation.

Many of these are never seen, however, due to them happening over the oceans or during the day.

The ‘Audi R8’ sighting has not been recorded anywhere else and the ukmeteornetwork have no records of any meteorite sightings across the UK since May this year.

According to the Astronomy Stack Exchange site meteorites can “travel in all directions”, but the Earth’s gravity will pull them straight down towards the surface.
